You’ll find answers to our frequently asked questions below. If you can’t find what you’re looking for please feel free to send us an email.
What kind of music do you play?
We play classic tunes from the 50’s right up to the present day. Guaranteed floor fillers to get both the young & the older guests up off their seats and on the dance floor. Acts we cover include The Beatles, Abba, Elton John, Lionel Ritchie, Bryan Adams, Huey Lewis and the news, Daft Punk, Maroon 5, Tina Turner, Adele & many many more!!
How long do you play for?
We play two sets of 50 minutes with a half hour break in-between. This can be longer though depending on how many times Jack decides he is actually a stand-up comedian and how often Tom decides he is Billy Joel’s long lost son and goes off on one of his 40 minute piano solo’s!!!
Do you supply your own PA and stage setup; how big a stage do you need?
Our friends at Sound House Studios in Worthing provide our PA as well as a sound engineer to monitor the sound for the duration of the gig, we do not however provide the stage. The stage setup is the responsibility of the venue to provide. A 15ftx15ft stage fits us all on fine however, anything bigger would be just lovely.
How long do you need to set up?
We would usually ask for two hours to do our “ get in “ setup & sound check.
What happens if one of the band members falls ill before the gig?
This really depends on how sick they are!!!! If Tom has a one of his weepy eye episodes or maybe a touch of athlete’s foot he can be a little tender but will play on anyway. You don’t need to worry about this too much as each band member has a deputy should someone be unavailable. We will however always endeavour to make sure the band members you see on the website are the ones you get. God forbid we upset Jack’s legions of female fans!!!!
Do you need a deposit?
We do yes. 20% of the total cost of the booking is what we take as a deposit 7 days after the booking is confirmed with the remaining cost payable no later than 7 days before the event. All details of how to pay will be in the contract that is sent out.
What happens if I need to cancel?
All details of cancellations will be in the contract we send to you once the booking is confirmed. All deposits are non-refundable (George needs as much money as possible to feed his My Little Pony collection you see).
Do the band need food and drink?
We work long hours and often don’t get home until the wee hours long after the party has ended so yes that would be lovely. Usually some food from the venue before we play; a handful of cold bottles of beer, soft drinks, teas and coffees will suffice, but yes we would ask for a small amount of fuel at your or the venues discretion. Jack would also like to add that he wants 18 bottles of Jack Daniels, an otter that can juggle, a life size cardboard cut-out of Ronnie Corbett and 4 full size air hockey tables made out of fur waiting for him when arrives!!!
Do you need to be provided with accommodation?
This depends on the location of the gig. If we have to travel more than 2 hours to the event then yes we would ask for accommodation to be provided at the client’s expense. We are not fussy though so a Premier Inn or Travelodge will do just fine.
Do you need an area to get changed and prepare before the gig??
Yes. We will need an area to chill-out in and get changed in before we play, this is usually not an issue at a venue that hosts live bands and functions. Just a clean, warm place to relax before the party starts. Please note that garden sheds, garages and Greenhouses don’t count as warm clean places!!
Do you play requests?
Requests are obviously welcome as long as we are given enough time to learn said song if it is not in our regular set list and within reason. For instance if you ask us to perform the full version of Bohemian Rhapsody or an acapella version of the theme from Black Beauty we would imagine you may get a no!!! We will however always endeavour to learn a song that has special meaning to you.
Can I cop off with Jack?
More than likely!!!
